Hi, I'm Rafael and I'm transgender and I'm here to share about the challenges of being trans and about solutions.
what is transsexuality
Transsexuality is when a person's gender identity—that is, who they feel they are—does not correspond to the sex assigned at birth. For example, a person may be born with a male body but feel and live as a woman (trans woman), or the opposite (trans man). Some trans people transition, which may include changing their name, their style of dress, or even undergoing medical treatments (such as hormones or surgery). However, it is not mandatory; each person chooses what makes sense for them. Transsexuality is not a disease; it is simply a natural variation of human identity. The most important thing is to respect the name, pronouns, and gender with which each person identifies.
challenges
Transgender people can face challenges in life and at school, such as discrimination, lack of acceptance, bullying, and difficulty using their correct name and gender. This can affect emotional well-being and academic performance, but respect, support, and inclusion make all the difference.
